Welcome to this week’s Squadron Briefing. It’s a quick one.
Case and caseback
Last week’s stainless steel prototype case has undergone its final treatment, namely the hand-polishing of the lug bevels. The design team suggested the very top of the rim/bezel, which is about 0.5 mm wide, could be polished too. Maybe that would look allright. And so we did. What do you think? Thanks designers, great little addition to the case. Sometimes the devil’s in the details, remember?
The shiny bevel starts as thin as a raizor!
We will create a buckle and have a sample text engraved in the caseback. We’re still working on the build numbers too and we’re working out the technical drawings for all parts, like crystals, gaskets, crowns, dials and hands. HQ can’t wait to do some shopping. More on that in another briefing.
Enjoy your week-ends and hopefully we can all enjoy an Indian Summer? The weather in NL has been awful this “summer” and we’re looking at a full week-and-a-half of sunny, steady warm weather with temperatures of about 25 degrees Celsius. That cold white wine will taste good 🙂 Enjoy yours or whatever other beverage you prefer!
